This year's yearbook staff has been hard at work planning the 2017-2018 yearbook. They have been devoting much of their time to planning the content of the pages and are hoping to have our page ladder completed by October 27. On this day, a representative from Josten's will be joining us to teach us about yearbook avenue, the online program that creates our yearbook. At this time, staff members will choose a font package and color scheme that will be utilized. Moreover, they will begin the process of formatting the actual yearbook. We look forward to continuing our productivity!
Also, jungle wear is coming soon! It will go on sale early November. Check back then.
At this point in time our cover has been selected. It will be a sleek red cover screen printed with a design in black. The staff also voted on Tuesday, September 26 to have our yearbook published and distributed after the school year ends. This will insure that Spring Sports, Prom and Graduation are all included in the yearbook. This afternoon a group of the yearbook staff will be spending a few hours of their time establishing and planning out the page ladder. They are eager to produce the best possible yearbook this year!
The 2017-2018 Yearbook Staff had their inaugural meeting on Tuesday, September 12. At our first meeting we voted on the cover of our upcoming yearbook and learned that a Josten's representative will be coming to teach us the yearbook avenue program in October. We have a lot of work to conduct before that work day.
Our next meeting will be on Tuesday September 19 in room 293. Our agenda includes but is not limited to:
2. Jungle Wear Sale Planning/Designing
3. Senior Bio Formatting and Category Voting
As seniors submit their bios and photos, the yearbook staff is gearing up to format and input this information onto the senior pages. We will be meeting on Tuesday, December 6 to finalize the formatting options for senior pages. If you want input on this make sure you attend that meeting! We will be meeting on Friday, December 9th after the half-day to input all the information into the yearbook and hopefully will be submitting our first set of pages to Josten's for printing.
This year the yearbook staff has been working fervently on ideas for the upcoming yearbook. Our page ladder is complete. This documents allocates each page of the yearbook to a specific category or topic. Additionally, we have met with a Josten's team member to learn the online platform being used to create the yearbook. We are beginning to work on funding our project. Jungle wear sales are the start of this venture and we are hoping that it will be as successful as it has been in past years. Moreover, we are in the process of meeting with community organizations and businesses to place ads in the yearbook. If you would like to get involved or know of a business that would be interested, see Mrs. Coderre or Mrs. Procko for an order form.
